We rebuild a lot of 4-Stroke Motors and have used all brands of pistons and gaskets. We have had the best results in reliability and durability with the Wiseco piston kit and the OEM Gaskets. We choose to go with a slightly higher compression piston which gives a much better low end response, helps eliminate the low end bog and is easier starting. The piston has other high tech features like a polished dome, forged instead of cast for strength and a special ceramic coating on the skirt for better wear and break in. We run 91 octane pump gas with no detonation or overheating. Jetting changes are usually not needed unless you have leaned it out due to low compression. Many aftermarket gaskets fit poorly on the head dowels and end up leaking so we offer the OEM genuine Honda top end gasket set with this package.
